Okay, so something happened tonight that bugs me. Someone in my family decided to make dinner. However, they didn't get to making it until late. Okay, now to be fair another family member didn't help things with a last minute road trip to the store. However, everyone involved knows that in the evening things can get busy. I have a friend who comes up to help me with stuff and sometimes we get to talking etc. Well, things did get busy. So we had dinner late.
Okay, I realize that and yes I could have been quicker on getting things done, but sometimes it doesn't work that way... And truthfully, I don't want it to.
So what bugs me? Was it that we had dinner late? Not really, what bugs me is the little pity party my family member had with them-self because dinner was late. Had they been that worried about having dinner on time, why didn't they get it ready before it got close. The biggest problem is, this isn't the first time (or probably the last) that this has happened. This person seems to like to push up against a time limit we have and then moan, groan, and complain if things like this happen.
However, you sure as hell had better not do it to them or there schedule. If you even remotely get close to pushing time or being late, you will never live it down. That I just don't understand.
I don't like to make people late and I try my best not too. I do know that sometimes it just happens and their is nothing anybody can do about it. But why is it that this person just seems to think it is okay to do it to us all of the time. I understand that they are on vacation, but that doesn't mean we have nothing to do or have nothing going on. I mean, I have put off doing some things and meeting with some friends and other people so that we can do things while this person is here. However, should we completely stop everything and put it on hold until they leave? As i remember this never happened with them. In fact sometimes when we were on vacation we often did more running for them than we did when we weren't on vacation.
I guess what bugs me the most is that fact that while we try to show this person as much respect as we can, sometimes this person doesn't always do the same in return... At least if feels that way at times.
